Frequently asked questions
Which invoice formats are supported?
Salor Invoice accepts PDF files and common image formats including JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Clear, straight, high-resolution documents produce the best extraction results. Scanned or photographed invoices may need more manual review.
How are Shopify costs and inventory updated?
The app extracts invoice rows and suggests Shopify product or variant matches using available identifiers such as barcode, SKU, saved supplier mappings, and title. You review the matches, costs, and quantities, select whether to update cost, quantity, or both, and choose Apply. Nothing is written to Shopify until you approve that action.
How does Salor Invoice handle VAT, GST, and other taxes?
Salor Invoice can extract tax labels, rates, and amounts shown on an invoice so they can be reviewed. It does not file taxes, determine tax liability, or replace accounting or tax advice. The merchant decides whether the product cost being reviewed and applied should include or exclude VAT, GST, or another tax. Always verify the selected treatment and calculated cost before applying an update.
How do I request access to or deletion of my data?
Extracted invoice data and import history are retained for 12 months by default. Merchants can select a 6-month period or delete stored invoice data sooner through the app where that control is available. You can also email hello@salorworks.app using an address associated with the Shopify store and include the shop domain. We may request additional verification before providing or deleting store data.
Product mappings and settings remain while the app is installed. After uninstall, Shopify sends Salor Invoice a mandatory shop-deletion request for the remaining shop data. See the Privacy Policy for retention, deletion, and GDPR details.
